I am flying from Gatwick to Las Vegas on VS043 in September 2007:D and have been allocated seats 46A & 46B.
I have been informed that on this flight there is no seat 46C, is this correct[?]
On every seat plan I can find, including this site 46 C is present.
Can someone please explain[?]
Thanks
BTW, how do you subscribe to a post on this forum[?]

I suspect 46C may be 'held back' until 24 hrs before dedparture as part of the 40% unbookable prior to online check-in opening. Seats being subject to 'operational changes' I'd keep those seats for the moment and then look for what is available online at about 23 1/2 hours before your flight is due to depart.

When I rang Virgin they told me that 46C doesn't exist, I asked if it was being held back and they said, "NO, there isnt a 46C" [?]
Any idea with the other question[?]

There is either some bug in the system or VS are trying out some new interior design plans
Per Expert Flyer which see what VS agents see:
For the above mentioned flight
Row 81 for PE downstairs has disappeared
The following seats have disappeared in Y
42 F,G
43 D,E
44 C,D,E
44 C,D,E
46 C,D,E
54 D,E,F,G
55 D,E,F,G
and I do mean disappeared. There is no seat there. Not blocked or occupied.
The return flight that day has the same configuration. Same results for 20 September and 10 October (two other random dates I chose).

I've tried following the FAQ but it says in the FAQ "To Subscribe or Unsubscribe from any level of subscription, you can use the "My Subscriptions" link, located near the top of each page to manage your subscriptions. Or you can click on the subscribe/unsubscribe icons ( ) for that Category/Forum/Topic you want to subscribe/unsubscribe to/from."
I cant see the mentioned icons anywhere[?][?][?][?]

Pete can confirm, but AFAIK, the post subscription feature is offline at present.
Thanks,
Sarah

Correct Sarah. Subscribe to posts was taken offline some time ago, unfortunately.
You can use "active topics" on the top of the forums menu to show replies that have appeared since your last login. Hope that helps.

Sorry, yes, the subscribe feature no longer works and has been disabled. I think the issue may be related to spam mail filters and web-generated email, but it's very difficult to track down.

The aircraft are always laid out with 'A' and 'K' seats as windows and 'C', 'D' 'G' 'H' seats as aisle seats. B, E,F and ,J seats are ALWAYS middle seats. This makes it moree straightforward to assign the correct 'level' of seat. If the system is not showing a 'C' seat, it is likely it is either a glitch, or they may add something in that seat's place as part of a cabin refit, but I suspect it is the former. 24 hours before, use online check-in and you should be able to see the 'missing' seats appear.
