UCS seat 3K

Has anyone had problems with UCS 3K on G-VFAR after 02/02/07?[y][n]
Yes I know its been raised before, I am looking to see if anyone has bothered to tidy the suite and repair the IFE, the seat only wants to recline[?][?]
It will show everyone if there is a point in complaining or are we ignored?[y][V]

Touchy subject for me. Perhaps it would be useful to have some sort of up to date list of faulty seats or repaired ones, might help people choose if they are doing it short notice.

It would be great, but a devil to keep up to date. To have any posibility of accuracy it would presumably need active v-flyers to be sitting in all the seats on all the aircraft regularly so that broken seats could be logged and repared seats un-logged. After all, assuming the pax reports the fault one would assume VS repairs the seat reasonably promptly.

Not to mention being a stupidly expensive job to keep up [:0]
Maybe we could leave it to the V-Flyers who work as cabin crew?

If crew report a seat as faulty then surely it's repaired with 2-3 days maximum if not straight away?
3 Days can be 6 fares at anything from £1500 upwards each sector? Thats a lot of money not to be treated as priority.
A list of seating would surely be out of date before it's ever started....

They might not fix them so quick if they think they can just throw some miles at people. Truth is if they are so often faulty there are only two conclusions, they eother are not up to the job they were designed for or are not being mended promptly or properly due to short turnarounds.

I think EGG is quite correct. The problem uis that these aircraft are now so busy and spend not a lot of time on the ground that difficult repairs which can only be done at the home airport, say LGW or LHR (say you have to remove a complete UC seat) they will not happen untilthe a/c has a period of time long enough to do the job.
I may be wrong, but in days gone by VS had more fleet than routes, so could tech and a/c out, I would imagine that these days its when there are many tech faults or a serious fault before thengs are sorted.

If the seats are not repaired/replaced promptly there will be no seats left in UC for anyone to sit in!!
Surely as the Flagship of VA the UCS should be maintained in tip top condition 100% of the time?
When I received my reply it said that the crew had not reported any problems?? There was an IFE and a seat problem, I cannot believe that a log was not made for the maintenance crew to rectify these issue's?
If the repairs are not being done then it is the start of a gradual decline of VA! Lets hope not and someone gets a grip and resolves these issue's?

I would hate to imagine that you have boarded a flight for 11/12 hrs only to have a dodgy seat - It would drive you insane - Keith

Or indeed a fully unfunctional seat which then takes four months and counting to be compensated for.
