V-Flyer

I have been told on another travel forum that the departure tax for barbados airport is now included in the ticket price since a certain date. They also say that Virgin and others are refusing to collect the tax from passengers booked before the deadline at the airport.
Therefore, they say, that even though i booked my ticket before the rise in departure tax Virgin will not collect it and as the airport has no way of knowing who has paid it it will not be collected at the airport. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of this?
