I don't think so, they are supposed to be fitted at some point in '08, but January may be a little to early.

No i was in economy but the CC let me have a look at UC & PE.

PE upstairs is def worth it and it is quiet. We travelled also on a 747 to Montego Bay in Dec 06, my husband was upstairs in PE and i was in UC.You get a better service upstairs in PE rather than downstairs.

Other than that my fav seats in economy is right at the back where the config is 2 4 2.We prefer to sit in the 2 seats and it tends to be a bit emptier at the back.

I was in the bulkhead seats in economy at the front.

I have flown in PE and Y on the LGW 744, upstairs in PE is the way to go IMHO, however there is nothing wrong with Y....that a couple of inches more seat pitch couldn't take care off and not getting stuck in the middle section of the seat row.

flown several times in PE (upstairs) on 747 config, and would say definately worth every penny, would not pay extra for PE downstairs.
