Hi Everyone :)

First post for me here!

Hope this is not a silly question. Just curious, is VS discontinuing distributing sleep suits in UC?

The reason i asked is because on this auction the seller mentions it! I was quite surprised. So just want to double check with you guys.

Link here

Routes i am intending to fly are: NRT-LHR and LHR-SFO. This will be in Dec07/Jan08

Cheers,
Kenn.

Hi Kenn, and welcome [y]

If they are, it's the first I've heard of it, and would certainly be unacceptable as it demonstrates yet another removal of one of the key features of the Upper Class onboard service for night flights. [:0]

My gut feel, however, would be no - they're not being discontinued.

Mine as well. Sounds very much like an attempt to bump the price up. [V]

Thanks guys for the info :)

I was kinda surprised too that they will discontinue this. Oh well hopefully they won't! As i've found them very comfortable.

Also out of curiousity have any of you travelled the NRT-LHR-SFO routes? I believe the NRT-LHR is on a A346 and the LHR-SFO is on the 744. Does service vary on certain routes in UC?

I'm on a RTW ticket from SYD. MH&VS.

Cheers,
Kenn.

Hi, Kenn and welcome to V-Flyer.

Yes you are correct, the A346 is used on the LHR-NRT route and the 747 on the SFO route.

If you look in the Virgin Atlantic Trip Reports forum you will find many reports on both routes which should give you a taster of what you will experience.

Welcome to V-Flyer, Hope you find the forum helpful, and fun too!! [y]

I am thinking the flea-bay person is trying to get more money, as I haven't heard anything, and the recent Trip Reports haven't mentioned anything.

Hi, sorry if this sounds very silly, (as i have not flown upperclass before), what exactly are sleep suits? do you actually change out of your clothes into it, and then change back again before landing?

Thanks in advance

As modeled by the ever lovely Highflyer (please excuse the others [:p]) this is the sleep suit or Ninjasuit..it is basically a set of PJ's for you to spend the flight in..yes you change during the flight and before landing...then pack them in your carry on and use them around the house...well ok you are not supposed to take them..but everyone does.

Or do what i sometimes do, and grab a hanger from the closet, and hang my civvies up. They are then crease free, and usually conveniently located to the restrooms for when i want to change back.

Thanks,
Sarah
