V-Flyer

Having just booked the next flights, I have found that because they are over a month ie outbound may inbound june, I will be 5 tier points short of going gold.(knew I should never have made that phone call )

Anyone got any ideas of the quickest / cheapest way to get 5 points before end of May.

Tier points from VS flights are your only real option. Take a quick trip to DXB or somewhere on East coast before the end of this month...[:?]

I believe 1TP is available for BMI business class flights - taking 5 sectors is out of the question I would have thought.

Is there no way you can reschedule your trip to return before the end of May?

Thanks for quick reply Rob. Rescheduling is not an option unfortunately -only just managed to fit this one in. The annoying bit is that they had credited me twice for the return trip in Jan (after the 26 hour delay - actually checked in twice) and I phoned them to tell them of the double posting[B)]

I too like the idea of a quick trip to the East Coast. Many great shows on Broadway. Restaurants, nitelife!

Glad this problem got brought up. I've just noticed that I will be 3points short of silver (my 1st year) by the end of July.

Any cheap(ish) ideas for a quick 3points guys n girls?

3 TP = n class one way and x class back, both sale fares.... check NY or IAD/BOS/ORD, for good deals for weekend shopping etc for your TP!

(remember MPM does NOT get miles/TPs)

I'll move to Silver this month, but can't see a great advantage of Silver other than the mileage bonus.....[:(]

Silver gets check-in at Premium economy, even when flying economy.....

Just to make you feel worse... I didn't tell of a double posting (5TPs!), it qualified me for gold a week earlier than expected, which meant my next VS flight's TP's counted towards gold renewal for the next year, which in fact made all the difference.[^]

Nope. If you're travelling in W or J, other than the 25% bonus, there's no benefit to being silver.
