Another request for information.

I want to take Mrs Jimbob247 and Jimbob247 Jnr (age one) to NRT in July.

I currently only have 60k miles in my account.

Can I book upgradable economy tickets now, upgrade the outbound sector to UC with miles, but not the return one, then upgrade the return when I get enough miles.

I know it will depend on availability etc, but in theory?

Yup. Absolutely.

From the T&C's it looks like you can only upgrade a full adult fare from Economy to UC with miles. Not clear from your post whether you've already got a ticket or not, but if not, I think you'd need to buy 3 x L adult fares and then you'd need 90,000 miles to upgrade just one way. I'm not an expert at fares/upgrades for very young children, though - others on the forum might know better.

An outright UC reward for an infant G upgrade for MrsJB.

If I book the upgradable economy ticket now, and upgrade one leg to UC the other to PE, can I later change the PE to UC? (assuming avaialability etc)
