Virgin's Own Noise Cancelling headphones

No idea what they're like, but at only $40 could be worth a go! Shame they not available over here!

quote:Virgin Electronics also today introduced affordable, high-quality noise-canceling headphones for economy flyers. The noise canceling technology actually hushes constant background noise, like the sound of a jet engine, to make the listening experience more enjoyable. The lightweight headphones fold to a compact size for storage and include a protective carrying case and airline stereo plug adapter. At $39.99 they are a fraction of the price of high-end models that provide similar function.

Both new products are available immediately at Target stores across the country.

Anyone know a UK supplier?

Is the original quote from the Target website?

Are they exclusive suppliers?

I can't find Virgin Electronics listed in the huge worldwide list of Virgin companies on the Virgin.com website.

Sorry about that - meant to add a link, and totally forgot. Can't find it now!

I think I was doing a google search on Virgin trying to find out if they'd actually placed their new aircraft order yet, and stumbled across this.

My local Target store (when I'm in the States) has a whole pile of Virgin branded goods. Got a great pay as you go phone for my daughter that gets better reception than my O2 sony!!
I am out there for a month from 2nd August so I'll buy a pair and give them a try and write a report if no one beats me to it. I have a pair of Bose so it will be an interesting comparison.
I'm afraid to offer to bring any back for members as I think I might be snowed under and as I don't travel with anything other than hand luggage I could see it could get to be a problem.
Although I'm sure if they seem to be a good deal I could try and sort a few out.

Just bought a pair from the Megastore in Boston, they are excellent value at $39.99.

Good quality headphones, supplied with carrying case and even a duracell battery to get you going.

My brother was so impressed he bought a pair for himself the following day:D

Don't know about mail order - they are branded as Virgin Pulse.

I can't find a model number on them.
