VS30 Aircraft Change?

Hi

I am due to fly back from Barbados on the VS30 on 22nd June. When I originally selected my seats the map showed the normal premum economy upper deck layout. However, when I have checked my seata are still okay this week the front half of the upper deck is now showing as upper class suite and row 74 has moved to the back of the upper deck (still absolutely fine with me).

Does anyone know if if this is a known aircraft change, what plane it might be and if this could mean getting the new PE seats?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding of the split upper deck (10UC & 20PE seats) is that this is the LHR config prior to a refit. I am flying on VS671 from LHR - NBO on 10th Sept and have got a LGW setup so assuming that I have a LGW 744 instead.

Hi Dene and welcome to V-flyer.

This change of seat map means that the aircraft is going to be LHR 744 - so this is why the front of the "bubble" is showing as Upper Class seats. So the first bit of good news is that you will have V-port as the in flight entertainment system!!

The second "possible" bit of good news might be when you check in as the number of PE seats on a LHR 744 is less (32) than that on the LGW/MAN 744 (58)and often passengers get upgraded from PE to UC. It doesnt always mean a full UC service but does at least mean a big seat and a bed!!

So make sure you have flying club membership as this can help with an upgrade!!

Enjoy your time in Barbados and good luck!! [y]

Thanks Coakers and MarkJ

I was hoping VPort might be a possibility. This is a flying club reward flight as is our outbound flight on the 8th June so I will keep my fingers crossed for a potential upgrade however unlikely.

VS29/VS30 - BGI should be on LHR Config this summer. There's some special J deal on this route so there is need for more Upper Class seats. Not too sure how long this is going on for but VPort on LGW fleet is fabulous!
