V-Flyer

OK, I know that this could be turned into a discussion of the rights and wrongs of the situation, but if VA gave their direct bookers the same facilities as VH customers it would not arise...

Three of us, two adults and one child, are travelling UC. We have now some friends also travelling with us albeit in Economy, three adults and one child.

Now I gather that each UC pax can invite one guest in on their clubhouse invite. This leaves us with one invite short.

As I said, if VA allowed their direct pax to purchase clubhouse access the way that VH are it would not be a problem.

Any ideas?
the only one I had was that to try and "sneak" our 5 year old in, whilst the two adults use his invite?

Any other ideas? No one else is travelling the same day as us it seems at the moment.

ISTBC, but the LHR Clubhouse should 'sell' you the additional person for £60. I think it is £25/£30 for LGW Clubhouse for an additional guest. Subject to there being space available on the day. This can only happen at the airport on the day, AT the clubhouse.

This is also my understanding and was mentioned recently on V-Flyer (although my search has failed to trace that reference[:I])

I have always subscribed to "honesty is the best policy" and I am sure that a polite word at the Clubhouse reception will pay dividends rather than trying to "sneak" your 5 year old in.

The inference of the linked thread is that paying for guests is a 'gold perk'.

The 'pay for guest' policy applies to anyone who would normally be 'entitled' to entry; Upper Class passengers / Gold card members. if you have purchased from VH, then you are not 'entitled' as such, but you have already paid for entry. (no guests allowed under that, unless purchased from VH prior to travel)

In that case, I would question if £60 to pay for a five year old to get in would represent good value.

Children under 12 at LHR go in for £30. And I think the OP was saying that the 5 year old was theirs, so already travelling Upper Class, and would be needed for the third guest... the last child would be 'best value' for paying the way in.

yes, thats correct, my Little un has his own UC tix.
