Hi
I am looking to hire either a taxi or limo from LAX to Santa Monica and I wondered about getting a quote from the company Virgin use to transfer UC passengers. Does anybody know the name of the company?

A shinning endorsement [n]
Is it the same company for SFO and LAX.
Just out of interest, anyone know if it is still Ronnie Mund's limo company for New York?

This might seem a daft question but would a town car get 4 suitcases into the trunk? There are 4 of us travelling and I pack as though I am never going home again. Would they all fit?

On trip to LAX in May, we needed to travel to Long Beach directly from the flight. We collected baggage and faced a totally disorganised immigration hall. This was bad enough but our limo to Long Beach didn't show. It was booked with Prime Time. I rang them three or four times only to be told that the driver was there and was asked each time for my location. Eventually, an angel in the uniform of the airport staff, on patrol looking out to help poor and distressed British travellers, came to my aid. She called the limo. office person and led me out to the pick-up area. The driver had my name on a card in the windscreen - a fat lot of use when I had received specific instructions to meet him inside. he probably didn't want to park up. Lessons learned - 1. have grave doubts about specific instructions 2.do not book with Prime Time

The point also about limo. size came up. We gave them specific info. re baggage - three large bags therefore need large size boot. Result - "small" Mercedes with room for two cases in boot and one "sitting" next to the driver and three large adults in back seat. No rude comments on the last point!

We have ordered a van through a company called Prime Time Shuttle, van size looks good and I think good value for $72. Lets us all enjoy a good slurp on the plane.
