Interesting snippet over on pprune that G-VSKY (MSN 016 as operated by BWIA as 9Y-JIL) is going to be the first A340 to be parted out. Now registered D-AEIL.

You'd think the aircraft would still have more value as an operating asset than a big pile of parts. Very sad.
