As MrStars and I are going to once again be within very close range of getting Au I put my foot down and booked a r/t business class ticket to Dublin on bmi. We will fly the first weekend of Sept. and we need the two points by Sept. 30. I booked through bmi's website and it gave me the opportunity to enter our VS FC numbers. Will the miles and TPs get automatically credited, or will I need to chase them down by mailing in boarding card stubs? Please share your experience as if I do need to mail them I want to do it right away so we can get the credit before we slip into October and miss Au.

Yes, but you might want to chase them up after a week or so.

In my experience with BMI when I've specified FC number at booking its usually been there on the ticket and in turn appeared within a couple of days of the return.

If you use the self-service machines you can re-enter your number if its not there at check-in.

The one time I noticed it wasn't there I told them at the desk by the gate anad they added onto the booking there.

Assuming you don't print your own boarding card and have an ATB sized (i.e. normal) one out of one of their machines, it will have "VSP" on the boarding card stub, above the flight number and date, but below your name and the airport names.

I don't think the whole number is shown on BMI boarding cards, unless there's been a recent change.
