Got my gold renewal stuff today. (Now Gold 'till the end of Sept. '08 :D ). Amongst the bumph was an entry form for a prize draw to win a week for two on Necker Island.

I don't recall seeing reference to this before, (and I have done a search ) is it new?

I got a letter inviting me to enter this competition earlier in the year, some time after renewing Gold.

Maybe they retroactively swept through the previous Gold renewals for '07, at the same time introducing the competition for more recent Gold renewals, or maybe it's just if you've renewed Gold a certain number of times?

In my last 2 Au re-newal packs there was a 'golden gift' draw ticket. Maybe it's a replacement for that.

How do you do it Nick? I thought you were one of the Y/W advocates and I hadn't notice you take that many trips. Have you found a way to 'work' the system?

No secret I am afraid, Paul. I did 'cheat' a little to get some of the original 40 TPs during a family holiday to Singapore and Borneo last year, but the retention has been done almost exclusively on VS metal with W and Y/W trips to the US in September, October, November, February, April and May. [:w] A couple of family trips, a V-Flyer haircut run and a couple of trips with my brother for 'beer and baseball weekends'

It helps if you are a US sports fan and like to travel. [}:)]

Not just a renewal competition. I recieved my regained Au pack the other day (having been Ag for 11 months). Included was the Necker Island competetion.

Not particularly family friendly though as it is a trip for two people.

It's to reward the FC member FM not their family

If the draw is for one of the Celebration weeks at Necker, these are always for couples. 14 maximum i think. Necker do a separate 'family fun' celebration week in October which is aimed at families.

That's exactly what it is Sarah, maximum of 14. Just received my renewal pack this morning and will be keeping my fingers crossed until next March.

As much as I love my boys (well men really) I wouldn't want them anywhere near me on that particular luxury break.

I too have just renewed Gold and received the invitation to enter the competition.
