Prince Concert

Just to prove that real people win Flying Club competitions - I did this week or should I say thanks to Buns.

He entered me (and himself)last Monday for the chance of winning 2 VIP suite tickets to see Prince at the new O2 Arena. On Wednesday, I had the surprise call to say "Mrs Buns, you have won 2 free VIP suite tickets to see the performance on Friday 10 August" [:0]

I was just about able to contain my excitement until Friday arrived and to add to a fantastic performance by Prince, the hospitality provided by the staff from VS made it an evening to remember[y][y]. There was only 18 people in the private suite and the view was fantastic. I have to say that this new venue has got great acoustics.

As would be expected, I promoted the V-Flyer site but they already knew about it and some V-Flyers too;);).

I'll make sure I'll put in for all the competitions in the future.

My Husband took a call from VA on Friday telling him I had won Prince tickets. He wouldn't give my mobile number as I was in an important meeting. He told them I would be home in a couple of hours, but they said that I'd have to forfeit the tickets and they'd need to move down to the next person on the list - Gutted!

I've got an update to my last post. Contacted VS and they have given me tickets to Fridays concert, which is fantastic [y]
Having read Mrs B's report I am really looking forward to it.

You really will have a fantastic time, just be aware that the crowds leaving the show mean you may not be able to get away until about 11.45pm.

Yep, I can vouch for the truth of this. I live in South East London, and was transferring from the Jubilee Line to the bus at North Greenwich to get home at about midnight.

There was still a steady stream of people on the down escalator into the station and coming away from the O2 at this point, most of which had been to the concert - thoroughly enjoying it, from what I can tell.

The Prince concert last night was everything Mrs B had said it would be. It was fantastic and we were so well looked after by all the VS staff. The VS private suite had to be one of the best in the Arena as it was front on to the stage! [y]
