Just thought you guys may like tro know that G-VSUN is either in Manila or going to Manila shortly. That is where she is being painted and prepared ready for service with Virgin Atlantic again by Lufthansa.

I got told this by a friend. Seems a long way to go to get an a/c painted. Is there anyone on here that knows how true this is?

Also G-VSUN is now called Little Miss Sunshine. I wonder why they have changed her name.

Looks like as of Sept 3rd, G-VSUN is back in service with VS:

VS0671 To Nairobi, Kenya G-VSUN 340 03/09/2007 21:16
VS814P From Toulouse Blagnac G-VSUN 340 03/09/2007 06:06

Also can't wait to see her new paint job as it sounds rather interesting. There's an A.net link about it here

Thats strange on the internal webite for staff it says it called Little Miss Sunshine.
Maybe thats the name of the next new a/c we get whenever that will be and they have got confused with names.

Have VS changed the new liverey already?

I do like the new purple detail gives the livery a very classy feel to it.

Yeah it looks like VS has tweaked the tail a bit - removed the bright line on the front and added a dark red/purple fade in the back. As people in the A.net thread pointed out the tail has these same details on the 787 mock-up.

I first noticed VSUN on Thursday 6th when it operated the VS672 from Nairobi back to Heathrow. It wasn't until we finished working on it, and were walking away from it, that I realised it was in the new colours!
