Seat Allocation goes missing to Las Vegas

I checked my upcoming bookings for seat changes this morning, and then called the FC in a grump.

1) My Las Vegas flight on the 5th October did have a seat upstairs selected for the outbound and return, now it is showing nothing available upstairs on the way out. The FC have made a note in my booking asking for an Aisle seat. The only seats available are middle seats of the downstairs set of 4.

2) My SFO flight on the 22nd does not have the option of selecting a seat, saying they will be allocaqted at checkin. The FC advised that the plane is pretty empty (although as it's half term and I've never seen a SFO flight less than 90% full I am not convinced)

My question is this, is it common to get bumped off the top deck to Vegas ?

Anything I can do to fix this issue ?

Not sure about 1)

But 2) The SFO flights have been switched to the new (4) config Mark. Mine did the same for Oct. 1st.

Unfortunately, it knocks out the reservations as the seat numbers all change around, and they appear to go into "lock-down" mode. Mine only released today for me to be able to view it again, it's been locked for 1.5 weeks now.

Ok, thanks, I suspected that might be the reason for the SFO stuff.
Still a bit peeved about the Las Vegas issue, I'll have to get there early as a result.

Ooooh - it gets interesting.

The VS43/5th shows as pretty much COMPLETELY full (those middle seats in PE are the ONLY seats available for pre-selection in any class). Maybe they got a huge booking? Maybe they're shifting aircraft around (could end up with an LHR model), and need to block off any further allocations?

We have quite a few engineers and managers heading to Vegas, so i am suspecting we have around 25 people on the flight each day for a few days....

When flying back from Vegas last year we'd got PE top deck seats selected online, and found out at the airport we were now in the lower cabin, and spread out, so not even next to each other. It took a good hour of complaining and refusing the budge till they did something, I don't know what they did, it must have been magic, as suddenly a 2 seats together and 1 behind those two suddenly turned up in the top cabin. So all I can say is pester till they've had enough and eventually give in.... hopefully.
