Tristar Car Transfer
Posted: 29 Sep 2007, 13:13I'm looking at booking a car transfer for a Virgin flight I have coming up, and since Virgin use Tristar for their CDC service, I thought I'd ask them for a quote.
The response was "approximately £65.88 + VAT + 3% credit card surcharge". Which, although specific, the word "approximately" doesn't sound like a quote. I also asked whether the 3% applied to debit cards, and apparently it applies to all cards, and unless you have an account you can't seem to pay in any other way. Seems a little deceptive to quote the first figure if you can't avoid the other bits.
I was kind of prepared to pay a little extra to use a premium service like Tristar, but it's the little things like this which make me think they've shot themselves in the foot.
