Another question....might as well make the most out of this forum !!!

Soon to be flying MAN-MCO-MAN in PE, and sure I have seen something on other VS review sites that the seat back screens on some VS aircraft on this route are only about 2". Is this correct?..I see that NOVA and ODYSSEY are the IFE systems on these craft, but thought the screens were bigger. Or is this just old info I have been seeing?

It is a long time since I flew on a MAN / LGW plane, but I think the references to the tiny screens refer to the old Nova system, that has now been replaced on all VS planes.

The details of the IFE on this site does not show screen sizes, but thats my mind at rest now...just hope it works on the day !.

The Arcadia IFE has the tiny two inch screens, and that's only installed on G-VSUN, who is solely operating the NBO route. Nova & Odyssey have similar sized screens (6-8" at a guess), which are perfectly good for movie viewing.

I regularly fly the MAN-MCO route and, while it ain't v-port, Sarah is absolutely right, the screen is perfectly adequate for movies. IMHO, 8 inches might be slightly optimistic [:I]

I am convinced the plane I went to Las Vegas on the 5th had a Nova system upstairs in PE.

If it was the 5th of this month you were on G-VROY which is indeed a Nova plane

I believe Nick was referring to the "old Nova" IFE, this got replaced by the "Super Nova" IFE system, which has a bigger screen then the old one, so Nova does still exist within the fleet, but just not in its original state.

When the Nova system changed to "Super Nova" the difference was an increase in the number of channels, the screens stayed the same. The original system with the tiny screens (back in the days of the 747-200s) was called Gallery.
