The following applies to the companion vouchers given to FC Golds for renewal, and for those given for reaching certain spending thresholds on the VS AmEx's, and to the upgrade rewards earned via VS AmEx.

These rewards have undergone a change - the person that earned the said reward now needs to be one of the passengers travelling, or put simply you must be on the flight too. Doesn't help that certain people thought it might be clever to try and sell these on Ebay etc.

Positive news is that companion/upgrades can be used on all L, B and S ApEx fares now (of course full fare Y and W also qualify!).

Thanks,
Richard

Interesting, do you know if there still needs to be reward availability on the flight to be able to use the companion ticket?

Certainly good news about the fare codes...

Thanks for the info. So I can now buy a L, B or Y ticket and upgrade using my Amex voucher, so no miles need to be spent?

Ahh sorry, that's my bad explanation. No, the VS Upgrades can still only be used with T rewards.

GreboDB - yes there still needs to be avail.

Thanks,
Richard
