Is Zone B used on all LGW-MCO routes for PE or only when PE is full?

I have booked myself 6A for a flight in September. Are the Recarro seats that much different from the J2000? I've only flown on the suite and J2000 before...am getting worried now!

I've only ever flown in UCS and the Recarro seats, used to always fly out of LGW hence Recarro, but did recently, and again in 5wks3dys flown out of LHR to JFK.

However, without me warbling on, I think the Recarro seats are fine, although you'll find the layout a little different on a LGW plane, what with no bar (as such) or bt area. Apart from that it was fine (oh and of course only Nova!!).

they only sell 16 seats (UC) (on that route)
Zone B is used for PE as follows

for special needs (people who paid for PE but can't handle stairs)
staff etc (AU's and people in the know!)
an overflow for when the bubble is full

what seats are you comparing to?

The Recaros are smaller than the original VS Upper Class seats, although they do have a much better, contoured shape.

Thanks for the info. Do the seats recline enough to be able to sleep? Having been on the suite i hope i am not too disappointed!

They are nothing like the suite, or J2000 for that matter. You may be able to sleep, but if you are tall I would advise making free use of the cabin crew to keep your glass filled, and falling into an alcoholic miasma. Well, that's my technique anyway...

the seats are rather like a traditional J seat
it doesn't go back fully but fairly far
the leg rest doesnt come up enough for my liking

I was in 7a in May and was able to compare the Recaro to a J2000 as we had an LHR 747 on the way back. I am a novice here, but I found the Recaro fine. Although they didn't recline as far as the J2000, they did seem wider to me and I found that the most comfortable sleeping position on the J2000 was a little short of full recline anyway.

Whilst the LHR 747s were definitely more up to date inside, I really enjoyed my experience on the LGW without the beauty treatment section (unused anyway on the MCO route) as I felt the front cabin more spacious.
