Question about LGW seats

Been on VROM and VROS in the past week and both appeared to have a different economy seat. Just wondering if they were the new economy seat, modified for the Nova IFE system or some sort of interim seat? Also when where they installed and what aircraft are they on?
Having travelled in economy for the first time in 7 years, it actually wasnt too bad! Now the only real plus point for PE is being upstairs.

I guess you are talking about the red and kind of golden coloured seats. They have been installed within the last 10 months or so. I believe it is just a recovering of the old orange, blue and red seats in fact.

I just flew on V-ROY and was very suprised by the poor condition of the cabin interior. My IFE was damaged (hanging on with one screw!) ... but it did work, so I was lucky compared to the rest of the plane! VS seriously need to sort out the interior of these planes as they are poor compared to BA and others. The seats were badly stained, the floor filthy - all in all, not good!

Interesting. Both VROM and VROS that i went on looked quite good in economy - which is why i thought they had the new economy seats!

It's not just LGW A/C that have this problem, I was on G-VBIG (LHR B744) earlier on in the year and the PE seats on the upper deck where falling apart. The cabin was also in a poor condition too.
Also I was on G-VELD (LHR A343) sat in the new PE cabin and one of the PE seat arm rests was on the cabin floor (the hinge must have broken as the tray table is under the arm rest)
The condition of VS cabins does need addressing as my parents flew on VS for the first time earlier this year (from MAN) and they said the service and crew where fantastic but the poor condition of the A/C cabins let the whole experience down (although they did fly before the LGW/MAN B744's got the new seat covers).

Fair assumption GJ as you'd work on the bull$hit baffles brains theory & expect Joe Public to see a nice shiney cabin & assume the rest of the aircraft is as good. The old ex ANZ B742's that VS had for a while was a good case, brand new cabin in an old aircraft, that had many punters fooled.
In the same way, i have a dislike of big oily hand prints on the engine cowls! If the mechanic servicing my car did that i'd go mad, so why expect less from an aircraft engineer.

The ex-Alitalia LGW 744s are newer than the LHR fleet, but the interior of the LHR 744s gives the oppostie impression. Even though they're older, I'd still much rather fly on the LHR 744s...

Better off on the engine cowl than on one of the overhead lockers in PE that i noticed on VFAB last year!
