I wouldn't worry about not having your FC number on your Delta booking. When you get to check-in just hand over your FC card and they should add it to the booking for you there.

You might well have to convince them that VS are a Delta partner though. Print and take a copy of this page from the VS web site with you just in case.

Regards

We tried this last year in MCO, but check in were adamant that you could not earn VS miles on a Delta flight.

We kept our boarding cards and submitted a claim on our return.
VS added the miles within 2 weeks.

James' advice is great! I would further suggest that you e-mail Delta and ask them to add the number to the booking. I have been told (incorrectly) that VS is a partner. I would note in your e-mail your PNR, Name, FC number and that Virgin ATLANTIC's code is VS. I also imagine that with Virgin America flying in the USA and one of the Virgin Blue outfits fly to the US soon, many US airlines will be confused which Virgin people are talking about.

I am sorry to say that this is true of many of VS's US partners.

US in LAS is great for this, they will say VS is not a partner...when the VS logo is listed as a partner on the wall behind them [:(]
