Hi

I was planning to go to Dubai in the first week of January. At the moment the price for the dates I want are 1197 GBP (Upper Class round trip) per person.

I know there is usually a sale around Xmas. Is it worth waiting till then in the hope that I can get a lower price or is the current price as good as it is likely to get for a UC flight to Dubai at that time of the year?

Sorry if I sound greedy [:w]

Thanks,

Having done this trip in UC twice this year, £1197 is a GOOD price. I'd grab it now. The lowest 'regular' price is usually around £1280.

I'd also say book it now. £1200 is about the standard price for a return Upper Class fare to DXB. It's unlikely to go any lower than that.

I second that advise - It's not going to come much cheaper in my opinion either...:D

You run the risk of either losing the availability or run into advance purchase issues by waiting till the next sale to try an save what would only be a few pounds at best...:D

Another option is to fly Silverjet who are starting flights out of Luton to Dubai. They've been my second choice after Virgin to New York. Not as good as Upper but cheaper and all business class. They remind me a bit of Virgin when V was starting out. They've been winding up British Airways in true Branson style, David vs Goliath:

Stansted, not Luton - see the link in RichardMannion's post above.
