Unfortunately, I've had to cancel one of my reward bookings for next month. I did this a few weeks ago and have had to chase them for the return of miles which I finally received today. I have been refunded 75% of the miles used, but as yet no taxes and the email only confirms the refund of miles.

Am I correct in thinking that the taxes should also be refunded, I understand that this may be less an admin. fee but thought the T&Cs were slightly different for Au card holders and can't find info. on the VA specifically relating to a Au account.

If there's no money due back then it's not a big deal but if I'm entitled to it I know whose bank account I'd rather it be in.

Thanks
Jilly

The T&C's on my ticket booked today say 75% of miles returned and a cancellation fee of £25. Also changes for £25 fee,

you should get the taxes back, although taxes from Virgin can take up to 8 weeks to be credited back to the card paying for the ticket.

Thanks Darren - that was all the information I could find but found no reference to taxes.

Thanks Juliet - it's just that the email I eventually got regarding the refund of miles made no mention of the taxes, but when I originally canx it by 'phone I was told they would be refunded within 5 weeks.

I just though that both would probably happen at the same time, I'll leave it another few weeks.

Thanks again
Jilly
