Virgin Atlantic Customer Relations Bonus

...I'm guessing the 10k miles added to my FC account as "Virgin Atlantic Customer Relations Bonus" are a result of my (polite) complaint email ref V:Port (i:Map failure) - does this sound right, as VS haven't replied to my original email yet?

Yep, that sounds about right. You do tend to get the miles before the response makes it's way back to you.

I had 10K after a polite complaint too. Plus 5K from the in-flight letter too. The 10K was totally unexpected but very welcome still

Have to say that although the miles are a nice bonus, it seems a little bit like a 'knee-jerk' reaction and that no real attention is being paid to the actual contents of the letter / comment / complaint

Only ever felt sufficiently miffed to make one formal (polite) complaint to VS, got a letter back saying how sorry they were but unfortunately no miles appeared! So it doesn't work every time.
