Could a guru talk this through for me.....

I have been lucky in that since November I have flown VS UC 4 times LHR-BOS and back LHR-HK and TKO-LHR . At the end of the month I will do a rturn trip to Washington - this will take me to 30 tier points - when will they start to 'drop off'?

I have no (real) prospect of getting another return flight before November[:(]

If you still have questions after reading the document let me know - I'll try and answer them.

You could phone VS, but if its anything like when I phone now and ask a TP question.... :D

Thanks,
Richard

Richard Thanks I underdstand now... I must say that by November this year I will have traveled 6 sectors with VS all UC in one year - yes I will have ammassed an nice lump of miles but I will not have attained AU - it really is a very big hurdle to overcome[8)]

Looked at another way If I travel on bussiness I will normally go UC (unless VS start short haul) so I get no additional benefits from my loyalty scheme - where it would really be useful would be for private flights with my family - AG really does not cut it there[:(]

JohnD,
as a Gold card holder myself I can honestly say the benefits are worth it.

Although to max out on those you need to fly personally as well as on business.

That way PE travel still gets you into the clubhouse and your much more likely for free upgrades if PE is overbooked..

you have until November so maybe do a weekend in NY in PE (6tp)

and any economy travel will net you the other 4...

VS have specials at the mo that quailify for TP..

Keeping Gold is easier as you only need to hit 30TP..
