Anyone seen this lately?
The tier points for renewal is now explicit. Curious, though my AU membership year has just started, it says that I have already qualified for AG in the next membership year..
cheers

Looks like they've integrated quite a bit of i-fly in there, and at long last the Tier Point tracker is live!

I quite like the look of it - a bit "busy" maybe, but all the information seems well laid out and easy to get to :)

Cheers

Michael

Found a couple of errors so far:

In the flight schedules if you enter London- Las Vegas or Las Vegas - London and the month of June no schedules are displayed, all other months are okay on that route, I haven't tried the other routes.

In the Frequent Flyer section when looking at "My Flights" although two tickets are brought up from my FC number, clicking on either just produces the message "We are unable to locate your flights from the information below..."

I have notified VA and told them if we uncover anything else that I will contact them.

Perhaps if any bugs or errors are found they could be posted to this thread so a concise report can be passed to VA on a regular basis.

I have received two replys, one from my contact who informs me there will be changes soon to I-Fly too, to provide more useful and useable information, something we have campaigned for for some time...

...and this one which was an auto response but has some useful tips so I will post the reply here:

Thank you for contacting Virgin Atlantic flying club.

Your message has reached the Contact Centre Customer Service Team. We will endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.
If your enquiry is of an urgent nature or you are travelling within the next 72 hours, then please call our Contact Centre

AVAILABLE NOW - CLAIM MISSING MILES IN AN INSTANT

Now you are able to go to your flying club online account, head to the 'Your Account' section and under 'Claim Missing Miles' you'll find our new "Claim missing miles in an instant function".

As the name suggests, this allows you to automatically claim any flown Virgin Atlantic miles
that are missing from your account. After a successful claim, you'll then be able to view the transactions on your online statement immediately.

All you'll need to be able to use this new function in an online account, your flight details and your Virgin Atlantic Booking Reference.

We'll then validate your claim, update your account and you display your new mileage balance - all in an instant.

TIER POINT CALCULATOR
To make it easier for you to know how close you are to renewing your flying club status or moving towards a tier upgrade, we'll be introducing a new 'Your Tier Points' page.

The page's interactive display allows you to see exactly how many tier points you've earned to date, and how many more you'll require to achieve an upgrade into a higher flying club tier.

This should make it much easier for you to keep up to date and to plan your travel to maximise your tier status and the benefits you can get from your membership.

This new feature will be available to members with an online account soon. To stay up to date, keep a close eye on http://www.virgin-atlantic.com

Great new look, IMHO, but i'm experiencing that same problem as Bazz and AlanA. Luckily, I phoned FC earlier this week, got the booking to appear and managed to update the FC details in time before this change. My flight is on Sunday, PE is overbooked, so i was quite anxious that they know well in advance two Silvers are travelling and wouldn't mind an Op-Up ;).

If you enter the booking ref, flight numbers etc manually it will display your flights.

Hiya

Yeah looking much more like a virgin product, with good use of red and purple. The old ones was looking quite dated and compared to, say BA's (cough splutter) a bit amatuerish. This is much better.

The only problem I've found is even though they list my two upcomiong flights I can't access the details. I couldn't on one on the old site becuase it was through expedia but can't check seats on my virgin booked one either. New website glitches I guess...

Importantly the VS website now meets accessbility standards... the old site did not. XHTML 1.0 Transitional and mainly CSS layout too. Uses the Tridion CMS for those interested...

Just had a look at the Tier points calculator ...

I currently have 12 tier points but i am being told that i need to earn another 4 to keep Silver? This isnt correct is it?

Im not really fussed either way as ill be on VS029 (PE) in a couple of weeks, it just seems a bit odd to me. I was sure that you only needed 10 TPS to keep Silver, and even it had gone back to 15 TPS, thats only 3 i need, not 4!

Is this an error with the calculator, or with me?? LOL :)

Highflyer,

What I imagine is that you currently have 12 TPs but six will expire before your silver renewal date, therefore you will need to earn another four points before that date to make ten.
