FYI sampled this lounge last Tuesday. Think it's the old Qantas lounge. Very good, smoking room, catered (simply). Obviously not a Clubhouse, but better value for PP holders.

(Is it ok to reply in this forum?)

Hi Jonathan,

Yes it's okay to reply in this forum. It's just that these little snippets of info often don't attract comment or discussion as they are viewed purely as information.

From your description, it sounds pretty much like the old Serviceair Lounge, which I have used on many occasions when (unfortunately) not flying VS. Have you used the old lounge and if so how does it compare?

It's bigger, newer feeling and cleaner than the old servisair lounge. It must be the old Qantas lounge as i noticed a kangaroo on the glass panels. Two seating areas, standard lounge seats... flatscreen tvs, dep/arr boards, good view of the apron, standard lounge fayre. And great staff (there's one woman with reddish hair who remembered me from previous - at least a year ago, and was very sweet).

Bit of a dog leg to walk to - entrance is now opposite the Clubhouse entrance by the terminal walkway.

Sounds like at least a small improvement over the old one and it looks like the drinks are stronger:

Might be the old Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge? They now share a lounge with SAS ("The London Lounge"). The location sounds about right for the old AC lounge, too.
