I have heard (via Virgin Flight Attendents) that Virgin are moving to a policy of no longer overbooking in Premium for planes with Suites.
Anyone no if this is the case?
cheers

Damm, I was hoping for a 50k miles bump to a later flight next time I fly out of JFK.

It seems that there has been a general push to cut down on the number opups for some time now.
Cutting down over booking PE would fit in with that. I think that once they get the suites are fitted right across the fleet and we lose this frustrating lottery of 'will I, won't I get suites?', then they will sell themselves.
I can understand reluctance to book a full J ticket until that happens.

Its true to protect the Upper class suite product.
Although depending on the route and time of year you will still get upgraded from PE to J depending on the sales.
