V-Flyer

It's tough being me you know... over the last year I've managed to build up 100k miles which I've been trying to figure out how to use. I was originally going to get 2 econ tickets for me and the gf, but as I'm now single, I'm going all out for a upper class seat [:D]

Problem is the availability in Feb is amazing and I can't decide where to go! I've narrowed it down to 3 options:

Tokyo (always wanted to go)
Miami (gew up watch miami vice [:I] )
Land in LAX spend a few days there then head to my fav city SFO then come home.

Whay do you guys think? This will probably be the only time in my life I'll travel upper so you can see the pressure I'm putting on myself!

Los Angeles or Tokyo for me - Miami is too short a flight to burn 100k miles..

It's gotta be a 12 hour flight to make full use of them...[:D]

I second or even third Tokoyo, Miami is lovely, but I got a bit bored there after a few days, and you want a nice long flight to enjoy UC! I've got my first flight in a week in UC after splurging some of my 100k miles and can't wait!

Just a thought - since you are now single and the ladies beckon, why not try havana, Cuba? Believe me . . . and you can come back with cigars as gifts.

Absolutely Tokyo. It is not expensive at all like people allude too. We will be going back in the future as it was fabulous.

Tokyo, Tokyo, Tokyo!!! More for your miles and the onbaord service is usually far better as Japanese crew incorporate that serene service that is sometimes lacking!!! Plus Tokyo Clubhouse has had a refit!! It's also an amazing experience when you get there...

The Mandarion Oriental, or the Mandarin Oriental, or at a push the Mandarin Oriental.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at for luxury and service, no wonder it is #1 out of 250+ hotels on TripAdvisor.com.

Yes its not cheap, but oh so worth it.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza back in March with an average nightly rate of about £55 you cant go wrong![y]

Just an update!

Decided I'm going to wait until late next year to go, too much to do for time off up until July 2008 plus it'll give me time to save for the uber fancy hotels [:D]

Belafst, I think you are right, it is a long way and you will likely only go once, do it properly!
