Suggestions for where to go on holiday

Ok, while I like NYC, I fancy going somewhere different for my March trip (though squeezing two or three nights on the way back may be possible). So where do you suggest? I'm travelling on my own, so like to have things to do in the evenings (which is why I like NYC, as I can see some shows). I hate going to bars and restaurants on my own.
So, where do you suggest? Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, or somewhere else, it'll be for 3 or 4 nights probably, and ideally somewhere on the VS route map, so I can get that one tier point I need to renew [:)]
TIA!

If you're into history than I would recommend Boston, plus its a very walkable city which is my preferred way of exploring. Also 3/4 days would be just enough time to see everything.

All the cities you mentioned are great, but New York would still be my first choice. Hopefully the writers' strike will be settled by March.

Why not attack it from the other angle?
Have a trawl round Ticketmaster and other such sites for the cities in question, to see what in on in the various cities that appeals.
Bear in mind that it still won't be too hot in the north-east in March, so maybe a bit of Florida sunshine?
Another option is a quick trip east instead of west and discover the delights of SQ, that way you may be aiming for a Au card instead of renewing Ag. [;)][:D][:w]

Don't mind the cold, though not too cold, but also not one for the sun. I go red, peel and back to white.
A tier point holiday could be fun, though not sure I could make 28 TPs in one week off.

I really liked Boston. I found it like a smaller, older version of New York, quite a few 'sites' and good for shopping. I would say that it is only really a 3 night holiday, but it's then nice and close to NYC for a few days too.

Vegas is great for a solo traveler, just have to put up with that longer flight and time difference...

For me, Vegas, no-brainer.
But for a COMPLETELY outside the box idea - Rio.[^]

ok, I know it's dull, but NYC will be featuring, though not sure if I will do another city. Pondered Chicago, but may wait till October, when hopefully it'll be a tad warmer. I'd like to do LV, but not sure I'd want to do it on my own. [:?]
