V-Flyer

This is my first posting on this forum, so I hope I get this right.

Myself and three friends have a limo booked to take us to Heathrow on Christmas Day (4pax with small luggage - the only way you can get 4pax in 1 limo).

Anyway, 2xUpper Class & 2xCattle Class, one of these being gold flying club.

So my question is.... will we use the new Upper drive through check-in or will we be dropped outside T3?

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Technically, you *should* (all) be dropped off at the terminal as none of you are on a J or D ticket. In all reality (and in 100% practice), they'll allow you all to use DTCI [:)]

Excellent, although I guess it really doesn't matter too much in practice. The new terminal should be all done and dusted by then (if not already). I just have not used DTCI before and was keen to see what it was like.

Hi - what do you mean ETA's?

Also is there any way to check in advance that you are definitely slated for DTCI...and one more question...

is it best to check in online if you're using DTCI

Surely a person on a G, as it must be in this case, who has spent 12.5k miles on a CDC is entitled to the full DTCI experience?

Your chauffeur cars driver will drop you off at the Virgin Atlantic terminal, as close as possible to the Virgin check-in area. In Heathrow, Gatwick and Johannesburg if you are booked into a J or D booking class, you will be able to make use of our Drive Thru Check-in facilities and check-in directly from the car.

Thank you. I will you let you all know what happens... if your interested. I am sure the UC check-in will be just fine if we don't get up the ramp for DTCI. We are all just looking forward to the CH and the fantastic Mojitos and other goodies.

ETA = electronic travel authority for travel to Australia.... can be done via call to Virgin with all passenger's passport details... free of charge through Virgin Atlantic.

Do they really do the ETA for free? Or is this just Upper Class pax?

ETA is free through Virgin Atlantic, for all pax, provided they are booked on VAA flights.

I would imagine that VS does not charge a fee for processing the ETA but does pass on the AUD20.00 fee that the Australian government charges. ETAs can be done online too.
