I heard that christmas dinner would only be on three days leading up to xmas day this year, is that true.

Hoping that they are bringing back sticky toffee pud :-))

well even though there is just you wanting to know ofarvoo, guess everyone else is at work lol, i can confirm and hopefully please you with the Dec menu

smoked salmon
mushroom soup

chicken tangine
roast pork dinner

light dark choc mousse
sticky toffee pudding

Yes there is a veg dish but as yet i dont know what it will be, this menu has been chosen by senior crew, and of course is a little bit away from the best of british. Xmas dinner will only be served on flights on the 24th 25th and 26th. This due to crew and customer feedback. If your anything like me by the time xmas comes you've had that many xmas dinners, you dont really want anymore lol (although i do love xmas!)

so here you go i hope you like it and it proves to be popular [y]

You mean there were people other than me that thought it looked like a school dinner...and not the good ones from when I was a lad [:I]

Actually the menu looks kind of good...what is going on..good simple food...very UN VS like..in such a good way[y]

Thanks for the heads up, John. Interesting to note that the crew chose the menu, and that it looks to be better than the options Catering have come up with recently [y]

Thanks,
Sarah

i agree all to often airlines, restaurants, and the TV want us to be interested in over complicated dishes, that mix so many different things. Virgin seem to be doing so well at the minute in all their classes by having simple well prepared food that is just what it says it is. bring on more things like bangers n mash, irish stew, casseroles and other simple food. I also am loving the morrocan influence to make things more interesting. Morroccan food is full of flavour and yet very simple. Xmas dinner is a must but at xmas not dec 1st lol last thing you want on a long flight is sprouts anyway lol

Is that just for December or will it be there for the next rotation? I was rather looking forward to one of the square pies in January, although this looks good too.

Being a coeliac, I've unfortunately had to order the gluten free meal (hit or miss whether it's any good I'm afraid), however, delighted to see smoked salmon as that's something I can have [y]

this is the next menu for a rotation so will be there in Jan as well, sorry but the pie is gone! firstimer, i have nothing but sympathy for you as the gluton free meal always looks a little boring to say the least. im glad you can have salmon though. my advice it to take food with you, but im sure you do that anywa,. that way you have a back up. however i agree you shouldn't have to do that.

Must admit I normally take back up food as the gluten free meals have not been brilliant, although saying that, when I flew in May to/from MCO, the gluten free meals were excellent - fingers crossed I'm saying that on Sunday!
