V-Flyer

I want to book flights for next October but when I called the flying club I was told that they hadn't been added to the system yet [?] I've never had this problem before, normally I just call as soon as I can and they are there. Has anyone else had any problems?

Are the companion/upgrade vouchers showing on your Flying Club account? You should see an entry like this:

12 Nov 2007 VAA Credit Card Econ>Premium Reward Upgrade 0 0
12 Nov 2007 VAA Credit Card Companion Flight Qualification 0 0

If you dont, you'll need to call MBNA to get them to send it though to FC. If it is on your statement you should be able to book there and then?

I thought Mysticgirl meant when do the seats become available, Sarah, rather than the actual vouchers?

In which case, it sometimes takes a while for reward seats to be released. (OR someone else has sadly already got hold of them...)

Sorry, I didn't meant to confuse anyone, I did mean the seats.

I'm assuming it's because the time we are thinking of going is during the school holidays. We can get them on the outbound flight if we go a few days earlier but there is nothing coming home, they looked up till the 30th October 2008. I called as soon as they opened, so I thought it was strange when she told me there was nothing on the 30th.

I guess it's just a case of keeping my fingers crossed that something comes up later on.

Has anyone had any problems like this around school holidays before?

What route? And is it PE or UC seats you are after?

If its a popular half term route such as MCO they might not have loaded any reward seats at all. You might have to keep calling and checking on the situation.

Hi Sarah, yep it's MCO we don't normally go during school holidays but we fancied October this year. Might have to think about November instead possibly.

I was originally looking to use some miles to upgrade or for a companion for our trip to MCO next April. I checked (and still do) the VS site every day since the flights were released and there have been no PE or UC reward seats available for the 4 week period starting from the end of March. As you are finding MCO is very difficult to get rewards seats on during the busy periods.
