LGW Clubhouse access?

PostPosted: 01 Dec 2007, 17:27

Hello,

I have an Amex Centurion card which gave me access to Club Houses until last May when Amex and Virgin fell out.
I am booked on VS15 in PE with me wife and 2 kids and would like clubhouse access at LGW.
Can anyone suggest how I can do it?
Regards
Steve

Hi, and welcome [y]

Either:

If you're with Virgin Holidays, pay for it as an add-on.
Pay for Upper Class tickets
See if someone else is flying on that day in Upper/Gold, using the itinerary calendar, but I dare say finding four 'guest' slots is going to be tough.
Be enrolled into a corporate account that lets you use company miles to buy access (guessing this is unlikely though)

AmEx and Virgin didn't fall out.

As Paul says, they are your options for CH access. Even if the Centurion arrangement was still in place, techinally you and your wife could have gone in (presuming she was the main supp card holder), but not the kids as there are no guests. I know sometimes they will be nice, but they can follow the rules if they want.

On the odd occasion at LGW you can ask to pay for entrance, but depends on how busy the CH is. From last memory they were charging around 40 to 60 pounds. I would ask on the day to see if they can accomodate you

Or if you get in there and it's quiet and not too long until your flight boards, you might get an additional passenger in for free ;-)

My parents paid £25 each not so long ago to get in to the CH

My parents were offered access for £25 each last month. It was a mid week flight.
