Hi all,
I am sure this question has been asked before, but i have done a full search and am unable to find an answer, so apologies for this.
I will be travelling in UC for the first time in the new year on VS603 to CPT. I will be travelling with my partner. Which is the best way for us to sit so as we can talk, should we select seats opposite each other or next to each other? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I think it comes down to personal preference, although I find it much easier to talk when one-behind-the-other - possibly because I regularly get accused of not speaking up and find it difficult to talk loudly across the aisle (I not this is not a problem for some! [;)])

I agree with Pete, when we travel UC we always have seats behind each other, as I can easily look over the partion and chat, the only time we have had opposite seats is when V-Monkey wanted to sleep, and I find it more difficult to talk as you do seem to have to shout across.

And you can use the ottoman if you wish to sit closer to each other and chat (It also has a seat belt).
It's just a case of sit back and enjoy the experience of your first UC flight, it needs to be savoured and enjoyed.

We startd as 'across the aisle travellers' but now go 'one behind the other' - especially nice on the A340 where you don't have to have a passenger opposite.

I talk at the bar, people can talk to me if invited to my ottoman.
But when I am actually in my suite I don't talk to no one, its my space[}:)]
6A/K on a 747 might be ok for you for chatting, but thats it really unless you go side by side..

That's now 12 A/K on the new config LHR 747s ...
I too am a one-behind-the-other person. When the no. 1 and I go on vacation that's exactly what we do. We did once eat together, but are now quite comfy with our headphones on and dining with film in our seats.

Thanks all for your help. One behind the other it is!
Hopefully we will be able to get a couple of seats at the bar and do some socialising there.
