Important reminder about V-Flyer membership.

Almost a year ago, we unveiled our plans for the future of V-Flyer and the changes that were to be made to our membership model, such as the introduction of a membership subscription, the addition of forums for Bmi and BA and of course the Off Topic forum. So far, these changes have proved to be a success, allowing V-Flyer to cover its running costs for the first time, whilst still continuing to provide a fantastic resource for Virgin Atlantic information. We have continued to make further improvements to V-Flyer, such as the interactive member profiles which have proven to be very popular, and hope to continue to evolve through feedback from our members.
V-Flyer is a free resource. Anybody can read the guides and information provided through our website, such as the aircraft database and seat maps, and the content of our FAQs. The V-Flyer forums are open for anyone to read, and to contribute to within the General Discussion forum. There are also additional forums for which a membership subscription is required. Some of these forums and their topics are still available to view for non-members, though some are hidden in order to provide additional value and benefits to our contributing members.
This message serves as polite reminder that from the 1st January 2008 onwards, only those with a membership subscription will be able to post in the additional forums. (If you are unsure whether you currently have a membership subscription, please click on the membership status link at the top of each page, next to profile). All members, paid or otherwise, can still read the majority of the content on V-Flyer. Members with a membership subscription will also have viewing and posting privileges within the rest of the fora, including hidden ones such as The Clubhouse and 'Off Topic'.
General Discussion will still remain as the forum where a membership subscription is not required in order to make a post. May we take this opportunity to remind members that General Discussion is a forum for discussing Virgin Atlantic, and is not a substitute for other forums that require membership in order to make a contribution. Threads with little or no resemblance to Virgin Atlantic will be moved by the moderators to a more appropriate area, even if this means that the original poster can no longer contribute to that thread. We believe this action is fair, and necessary to maintain General Discussion as a free resource for questions directly related to Virgin Atlantic while not diluting the experience for those members who have subscribed in order to access some of the more advanced, members-only features and benefits.
If you are having any difficulty with setting up a membership subscription please contact: [email protected]
We are always looking for ways to improve the site and if you have any further comments, suggestions or feedback, please do contact the moderating team by email on [email protected] or send a PM to any member of the moderating team.
Many thanks for your continued support of V-Flyer.
