Sounds like the usual PR bull to me.

Getting the most seats in is VS' priority. Otherwise, we'd have proper dedicated premium lavs for PE pax on the LHR 744 and 343s, and we wouldn't have grotty seats which are opened onto by toilets (very common on the Airbus).

Private rooms and doubles in Upper, yes I can see that. SQ have done it. Showers, possibly, but all that water for showers will add a lot of weight to the plane.

Hmmm, yes.

Virgin can already say they have 'double beds' though they're nothing of the kind really, certainly not compared to the SQ Suites. I'm not sure what sort of double bed the PR people have at home.

Roulette and Blackjack could be board games in a box to be taken out and played at your suite table or on the bar [:p]

We'll have to wait and see if what promised is what is delivered. I think we'll find the reality is very different.

Before the roulette wheels in UC, perhaps they might first decide to have decent meals, properly trained, monitored and motivated staff and a cleaning schedule which allows the premium seats occasionally not to look like bus stops Then, throw in a few red pillows, some flowers and a decent amenity kit and Bob's your uncle!

A few extra inches seat pitch in Economy would mean people would pick VS over other airlines, but again they just seem to focus on the upper class product.

The showers are a non starter, to much weight as Mike said.

If they start offering double beds then VS is really offering a first class product ?

Do you consider it plausible that the roulette and blackjack action might be [played on IFE rather than on real baize? Shades of Ryanair's old mooted gimmick, perhaps.

*ponders* Virtual casino games in Y and physical ones in UC might be fun and quite a cute way of differentiating the UC product...

Well I suppose Ryanair's scratch cards could be considered gambling [:w]
