VS pilot sues for constructive dismissal

It's a year old story, I'm afraid, but I stumbled across it and it raised an eyebrow;

Now the thing that strikes me about this is the pilot had an accident while not at work which meant he could no longer perform his duties as a pilot. Virgin sent him a full list of vacancies at the company to see if any opportunities interested him to retain him in the organisation, but because one of those was in the salon at LHR, he decided that was constructive dismissal and he's entitled to 1m in damages.

Is it something in the water at VS?

Wonder if the cabin crew will face some sort of stuff like that in the aftermath of Branson's 'If you don't like it, go elsewhere' comments.

I'd be very interested to see how that one turned out in the end!

Saw that a while back. Also interesting is thats the same pilot that appeared in the VS744 cockpit video that was released a few years back.

I imagine the pay for a person who cuts hair and a pilot of a wide-body is very different too...

Go consult.
