Is OLCI available other that LHR & LGW?
The reason that I ask is that I am travelling UC with my mother to SFO next Tuesday and back on 28th. My son is joining us, flying out to LA and back with us from SFO. He is travelling Economy (no need to waste good money/champagne the young:D)
We will obviously use the UC check-in, but can he use On-line and then express bag drop to avoid looooonnng queues at SFO check-in?

According to the website, on-line check-in is available for all flights departing airports in the UK, US, South Africa, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

I used OLCI out of EWR last week, without a problem. As Helen says, you can do it at all US airports VS fly from and drop bags at check in when you arrive.
I may be speaking out of line here but, if you son is flying back with you and you are all checking in together - would he be able to check in with you at the UC desk?
Thoughts anyone?

Nick,
i wondered about this? We are travelling on Z tickets and only red card holder, I thought it was asking customer service to stretch too far.

No harm in asking;)
It isn't a great hardship to VS to check in 3 pax instead of 2 - especially if you are sharing luggage - you will be able to answer the security questions if the whole party's bags are in one place;);)

If two of you are travelling Upper class you wil haveno problem in the Y passenger checking in with you.
SFO has to be one of VS best airports for customer service.
I would say try out OLCI and the just drop your bags off at the airport and enjoy the lounge!!

OLCI works at SFO.
Just go to the DIY bag drop line.
When we did that 2 weeks ago, the DIY line was tied up by a passenger
with an expired passport and we were directed to use the PE checkin line.

I had a few Q's about OLCI...
1.) Can I use it when departing from JFK? (I purchased a 2 for 1 J class fare through AMEX platinum.)
2.) Will I recieve actual boarding passes at JFK?
3.) I assume I have to go to some sort of counter at JFK, does it shave off that much time?
4.) Finally, when I get to the Clubhouse in T4, will they confirm my limo arrangements?

Hello flyaway3x and welcome

1) Yes you can use OLCI when departing JFK (as with all UK and US airports)
2) You still have to pay a visit to the check-in desks to collect your baording card (fast bag drop desk if checking in bags if available at JFK (not sure) otherwise go to the Upper check-in desk.
3) Not sure - I dont think it will save you much time when travelling in Upper as Upper Class check-in is a breeze at any airport

.....a different matter if travelling in economy though!!
4) Your limo arrangments will be confirmed at the check-in desk and/or in the Clubhouse.
