codeshare flights

Hi Guys,
Would there be any difference booking virgin tickets on a virgin flight rather than continental tickets on the same virgin flight?

(apart from tier points and mileage issues)

You cant use OLCI and the self service DIY unless you get hold of a VS booking ref, even then it didnt work for me.
