Hi All

Does anyone know how the new setup in T3 works for Gold holders not travelling in UC?

If I check-in to PE does the scanner in the new VS security channel recognise the boarding card for access ?

Thanks

Yes, I believe it will have it on your ticket but, check first you can phone the FF Gold Card helpline on the back of your card. Hope this helps

** Edited by mod to remove Gold phone number - all gold members have access to this number already **

I like the idea of the Golds phoning an off shore call centre, so they can press the door open button for them. [:D]

why wouldnt you travel UC?

I got a swanky brochure today about the new wing (even though my first VS flight was UC and I used it.. ) and it says AU can use it regardless of class of travel... It seems VS normally have a staff member at the door so even if the scan doesnt work you should get in with no trouble.

Yes it does, you scan either the bar code on your own printed boarding pass or the bar code on the VS issued boaring card. Last time I was there the Upper Class agent did tell me that there that some pax have had issues when not flying in J using a Au FC card, but it's worked for me twice now using PE boarding cards with my Au FC number on it without any problems at all [y]
