After a lovely holiday over New Year in Florida with family members, my wife and I decided to spend the last two days in the Orlando area before flying home, as a treat we booked into the Hyatt at Orlando Airport[:D]
What a lovely Hotel, great staff and excellent food, we would suggest anyone who fancies treating themselves after a holiday or before a flight home to try it. The whole experience was fantastic (nearly as good as Virgin ) Our room overlooked the runways, which made great viewing, especially when the Virgin flights were coming and going, made us both feel very patriotic.
We were lucky enough to travel UC again on both journeys, what a great experience, it makes flying more acceptable altogether. The staff on both flights were great, very friendly, good food both ways. However, I do have a couple of thoughts for the Virgin bosses. Why are we offered a razor, shaving cream on the way out of U.K. but not on the way back, which is when it is needed the most?

The aeroplane itself is a bit scruffy and was showing signs of age(not unlike myself[:D]) but performed to the high standards expected from Virgin flights. The Pilots and staff on both flights were excellent
and we would like to say 'Thank You' for making our holiday a special experience again[y]. Look forward to flying with you again soon. Keep up the good work guys

Welcome to V-Flyer Gerry, so great to hear of a positive report on the MAN routes. Have you thought about writing a TR?

Sssshhhhh, don't go giving away too many secrets about the great spots at MCO [:D] . Hyatt is a fantastic little hotel, I remember using it as a wee one and being impressed then, Im just so glad it has not gone down hill. I certainly know of at least three members plus myself who swear by the Hyatt for a pre flight drink and meal.

I would agree - MCO Hyatt is a great hotel - and very convenient.
Particularly like the way they collect your luggage from the belt and deliver to your room.
The self check-in/check-out system is good and no charge for a (very!) late check-out which is useful for the late flight to MAN.

We stayed at Hyatt for the first time in 1997 when my husband decided by accident to return us to Orlando and give up the car a day early and we found ourselves with no-where to stay for the night.

It was the best mistake he has ever made (not that he makes many). We have stayed for our first night and last night every year since and regard it as our little extravagance at the beginning and end of our holiday (and sometimes in the middle as well[;)])

It's always best to book through Virgin Holidays to make it really good value we have found (much cheaper than booking direct)although doing this doesn't earn any flying club points [n].
