Can anyone tell me if it's possible to walk from the EWR airport terminal to the on site Marriott. I just want to hit the sheets as quickly as possible after getting off VS017.

Thanks

Not sure ... Have seen the hotel and it seems a little way from the Terminal

You might have to take the Air Train to the Car Park Stop where all the hotel shuttles pick up or hop in a Yellow Cab outside the Terminal!

Not really, we took a cab to the EWR Marriot when we stayed there overnight once. As Andrew says, there is probably a hotel shuttle.

You know, I was stood at EWR on Thursday evening pondering the same question should I ever need to use the Marriott, and as I was ahem [8D] taking some fresh air. It certainly didn't look like there was an obvious walkway, from my vantage point on the departures level, I also definitely saw a Marriott courtesy bus. Be interested to know the answer too!

The reason I ask is on Google Earth it looks as though the hotel is just on the other side of the car park directly across from Terminal B. Now I haven't been to Newark for a couple of years but when we arrived there we were picked up by a limo service and walked pretty much half way across the car park to get to the car and that only took a couple of minutes.

My thoughts are that if there are no fences etc. I'd rather walk it in a few minutes than hang around waiting for shuttle buses etc. We want to stay somewhere close to the airport as we are arriving on the VS17 and going back out on a connection first thing in the morning.

We were there on Saturday night (and two weeks before as well). The shuttle bus is every 15 mins all night (and will come pretty much straight away if you call them from the hotel courtesy phone).

In the morning there was a pilot who when he saw there was a big queue for the shuttle bus at the hotel to get back to the airport gave a sigh and then walked off in the general direction of the terminal so I presume there is a way.

You can walk along the roadway, but be prepared to get lost, the roads are notorious! Yes, it looks just over the road, but there are fences and cement barricades which would certainly be challenging with jet lag and any luggage... go to P4 on the airtrain and get the shuttle....

The shuttle is from the terminals for the marriott, you don't need to get the airtrain.

If you are arriving on VS at terminal 2 you need to go to the lower floor (signed as parking) and then go out to the shared shuttle services sign.

Ooh! That's good to hear, last time I was there they made me go to P4. Most will drop off at the terminal, but pickup I thought ha to be at P4.

I am pretty sure it is only the Marriott on the airport site that can pickup from the terminals - all others are P4

Ah right, I thought I would have to go to P4 as well and I didn't want to spend 20-30 minutes in queues, on a train etc. if I could walk it in 5, but if the shuttle picks up from the terminal I'll do that instead.

Thanks for your help.
