Folks

I have three questions:

1. Can a pax with a Y ticket on SQ and VS FC Gold get LHR Clubhouse access?

2. I know I can get access to the LHR CH on an SQ F or J ticket, but can I book a treatment if I am also VS FC Gold?

3. Can someone in the know confirm the SQ F pax arriving on the SQ322 early morning arrival get Revivals access?

1) Technically, I'd say no: 'Clubhouse comforts: You and a guest, flying WITH US on the same day, can take advantage of our gorgeous Clubhouses.' Not clear what their attitude would actually be, but you won't be on their list if you are not on a VS flight.
2) We've seen several reports that they are pretty open about checking credentials anyway when looking at the treatment pre-book forms, so I'm sure you would be able to book either way. Also, the form itself is not specific enough - if you state you are Gold on the form, and you are, there are no other conditions. I'd say this is a Yes
3) As Gold traveling on a non-VS flight, no: 'You also have individual access to Virgin Atlantic's Revivals lounge when flying into London Heathrow on a 'VS' prefix ticket.' Remains to be seen whether they would make an exception. I've heard the staff turn folks away especially if the place if pretty full. International First Class SQ might have access at the United Arrivals Lounge in LHR - though this is not mentioned explicitly anywhere, they have access to all other United Lounges.

Thanks... I will try to book a haircut. After all, how long can my hair take?

The only info I can find online is this recent link.

There is also mention of SQ top tiers ('PPS' whatever that means) having revivals access in this link.

I just called SQ and got through to an Indian call centre. Not really sure if I believe them when they say no, possibly a case of 'computer says no', or computer doesn't even know so use a conservative answer.

Oh, that's kinda sad to hear, as their London-based reservations that the UK number used to get you were really nice to deal with, clueful and helpful.

Well to be fair they were far better than most. I think from reading posts over at SQTalk it's relatively new so it'll take time to be acquainted fully with their product. It's a fairly esoteric question I guess. That's not to say I am a supporter of Indian call centres. I see enough offshoring of work in my day job to know it's not necessarily all the management consultants say it is, but at least it keeps the management consultants in work, especially when the flavour of the month is to onshore it again.

I will be PO'd if I discover the answer is in fact Yes: I have since had a reply from the poster on FlyerTalk (actually, it was BlackCat, remember him?) who has used the Revivals facility himself when travelling F on the SQ322, but that was a few months ago.

Cheers, H

Technically, it should be no. The 'Solitaire PPS' and Lifetime PPS are the only ones who can do this, by the book. Then again, why not ask? Computer says no ... but the front desk of the Revivals might be another matter. If you are Gold, traveling on the SQ F route, they might well take a broad view of things. You are allegedly not allowed to take guests as a Gold, but if you arrive in with a late flight and try to get into Revivals for the last hour or so, to take a shower and be on your way, they are often inclined to be supportive - or so I have found it to be.

I'd give it a go .... it'll be a lot more fun that the United Arrivals lounge, that is for sure [;)]

Well I called the FC Gold number... now strangely I felt a lot more comfortable here... the chap helpfully referenced his 'e-learning' pages that specifically says SQ322 arrivals in F have Revivals access.

Tried to call the Cowshed a couple of times, goes straight to a recorded message telling me to go online to book it - where of course there's no option to enter an SQ flight #.

OK I got thru to the Cowshed and the answer's no, you can't book in advance on an SQ F/C irrespective of your FC status, again I got a warm feeling that they actually did make sure and knew what they were talking about. That's more than fair enough IMHO, just so I know!

Do you know if you and Paul will be able to get into the CH tomorrow, or shall I have to quaff it all myself?

I think we're excluded, but we can get into the SQ business lounge with a FC Gold card.

I have a feeling we'll be in the CH. I got enough metallic things to mean at lease ONE of them must work [;)]

Without a VS ticket, methinks not - but it's got to be worth a try.
