I thought in the olden days it wasn't a good idea to put aerosols in hold baggage, so I've either not taken them or put them in cabin baggage. With the new rules, of course, this isn't possible. So can some kind person confirm that if I put pressurised containers in my checked baggage, I won't get to SFO to discover the contents have exploded all over my clothes?

We always put body spray aerosols in our checked luggage and have never had a problem.

Same here, always put them in my checked luggage. So you will be fine.

Thanks Dominic

Even when the old regulations were in place I've never carried aerosols in my hand luggage (hell I'd need a porter to carry my bag of lotions, potions and industrial sized cans of various hair products).Never had any untoward incidents.

Some aerosols are highly inflamable!
Check the small print on the can.
