AMEX FC Points Transfer

Hi All,

I have been transferring my AMEX points to FC club for miles. I was a Red member but now am a Silver member for FC. Do i need to let AMEX know my new Silver FC member number? Or can i still transfer miles to my old Red member number and it will still reflect on my new FC Silver membership?

Thanks,
Kenn.

You can leave your red number there because as you work your way up though to AG and AU with Flying Club, all the account numbers are linked behind the scenes.

My AG FC # was on my VS M/Card account for several years and I still received the miles into my AU account. It wasn't until the swapped over to Amex and they sent me a letter with my old AG # on that I realised as much.

Regards

Hi Guys,

Sorry to revive this thread, but I need to make sure before I transfer my AMEX points to FC. This time it's a little different as you can see.

I was Red when I first joined FC which the above posts suggests. And then I turned Silver. But now I am back down to Red and issued with a new card. Can I still transfer the points or do I need to change my FC number at AMEX before I do it?

Thanks,
Kenn.

FC links all prior FC numbers together. You do not need to update your FC number with AmEx but you could. Would not hurt to update your FC number with AmEx. I imagine it takes little time.

Ok thanks for that. So I guess it's fine to leave it as is and it will still transfer OK?

Yup, Ok to do so. I did this on Monday and noticed that my number was from my Silver period, but transfer went through and was confirmed on f/c page in seconds.
