Hello from the Clubhouse

Never been in here in the afternoon, as I've only headed West since I've been a Gold member.

Very quiet, decided to sit in a new area by the glass to watch the activities.

The flight will be called at 19:40 and we've been here since 4pm.

Must go, about to tuck into the afternoon scones and finish this glass of fizzy stuff.

Note to self: Must contain bitter and twisted thoughts toward probably very lovely man who has every right to be in the CH drinking MY champagne and enjoying aforementioned Cowshed treatment.

Not that lonely, for once I am accompanied by my wife, who now knows why I like to get to the airport early, get my bulkhead seats and relax in comfort in the oasis called the LHR Clubhouse.

When i lose Gold status I never want to fly with my family again, because they will say, Daddy, why can't we go in that nice lounge again.....

This is a holiday and not a work trip, and we are fortunate to have friends and family looking after our 3 children.

Must dash, desert has just arrived.

I am so jealous!!

I find the CH pleasant at any time of day, and on my last visit discovered they made very nice strong gimlets [:p]
