Mrs D has pointed this out to me as I don't read the Sun!

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sh ... 086671.ece

Maybe some lady can explain it to me, but I fail to see the attraction in this man. The time we saw him in the CH, he was one of the scruffiest muppets I have ever encountered.

He's made a few comments about his recent VS flights on his show. All good publicity I'm sure.

Well, I suspect she will be seeking alternative employment soon. I wonder if she knows any 'Gay salt miners of Saudi Arabia? [:w]

Oh yes I read that earlier......WHAT? The Sun is good for sport news!!!

As someone who is attracted to men I can't see what women see in him, although my best friend (female) thinks he is sexy as hell, something to do with the way he carries himself. As a comedian I find him very funny however.

I've never seen the attraction myself....too much of a dandy for me.
First thing he needs is a grade two all over the scruffy git.

At least the sun didn't refer to it as 'first class' [:)]

He can be funny but is too fixated with his own genitals personaly I wouldn't go there and would even feel the need to detol the suite if I was on the next flight.

8 hour delay at immigration fair enough.

But to get back on the SAME plane after 8 hours looks bad for VS.

What an awful piece of journalism. Surprised I didn't see the words Phaworrr! or Cor Blimey! every other sentence. The fact they claim Brand spent 8 hours in the airport and got back on the same plane just underlines an inaccuracy in reporting, as most people - I'm sure - realise that planes sit on the ground for a couple of hours max before turning around and flying back to their destination. It seems rather unlikely that VS would have an aircraft sitting on the tarmac for 8 hours at JFK before flying back to London.

That is just so funny the lady pictured looks very familiar. We were sat downstairs in PE a while back and the lady(or not[:D])crew member on the jump seat opposite was boasting rather to loudly about her conquests on the trip. Can't remember names but I never forget a face[}:)][;)]

Have to agree with Pete. I cant believe that is a real article. No wonder the youth of today have such appalling grammar if this is the example set to them. [/ rant over ]

Thanks,

Does the last flight of the night wait overnight before coming back as the early morning flight? That would be roughly eight hours.

The 340 which works the VS3/4 lays over for about 6 hours in JFK. Arrives around 1pm, returns around 7pm (can't be bothered looking up exact times).

As for the crew member and her celeb conquest(s)... well, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I don't see why she should be seeking alternative employment. Provided she didn't break the rules whilst actually on the aircraft and dealing with other passengers, what she does later is none of the airline's business. Fair play to her if she got what she wanted.

The firewall at work won't let me read The Sun (probably for my own protection [:D]) but I could tell by the first post alone it was Russell Brand!

Classy[ii] Had a similar experience in the lobby of a hotel in Washington a few years ago. Was waiting to head back to the airport myself and the VS crew turned up in full uniform. One of them who appeared to have been born part foghorn was going over technique she uses in certain 'intimate' moments with her partners. Not a particularly good ambassador for VS if you ask me, especially when there were small children with their parents close by also checking in. I can understand the crew are seen as 'fun' but there is a line somewhere. In my eye wearing full uniform, in the lobby of a hotel where you are representing your company is very poor form. Save it for the hotel bar once you are out of uniform and away from the kids.

Maybe this is the reason the Sun isn't available in the CH!

I remember a flight about five years ago NCE-LHR late one Sunday afternoon. The FA presented me with a copy of the Sunday Times and I headed straight to my favourite irritant, Michael Winner, where he described his latest lacklustre culinary experiences on board Concorde. There was a picture of him with on board Concorde with one of the crew, whom I thought looked very familiar. I looked up, did a double take, and it was the very same FA who'd just presented me with the paper!

As a victim of circumstance, I showed the poor fellow the evidence of his unfortunate tte ˆ tte. I almost expected the entire remainder of the flight to be full of galley chat and awful service as a result, but the crew's professionalism, despite the awful revelations, thankfully held its head high.

Cheers, H

It's not often I use the C word, but for Michael Winner, it is unreservedly warranted. Absolute muppet.

I had no issues with FA's and passengers sharing 'intimate' moments...quickest way to get an upgrade in my book [:0]

If it wasn't done on company time and on company property then there is no issue...other than her taste in men.

That was the downfall of a certain QANTAS (Dom. [y]) CC. Had a little fling with Ralph Finnes in the lavs (classy bird). Apparently the rest of the crew complained. Queue trip to unemployment office.

I read somewhere that airline discourage it to prevent over-enthusiastic pax. i.e. stalkers.

Complained because they didn't get their turn with Ralph [:X] or for some other reason?
